In obedience to the Great Commission, Faith Chapel’s mission strategy is founded on the biblical conviction that the local church is instructed to be the primary means for sending forth laborers to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 10:2, John 20:21, Acts 1:8, Romans 10:13-15, I Corinthians 15:1-5, II Corinthians 5:18-19, Revelation 5:8-10, Revelation 7:9-10)
The church applies about 30% of the annual budget to local and worldwide gospel outreach. We have annual outreach ministries such as a golf tournament with an evangelistic component and gospel tract distribution at the Carlisle fairgrounds. We have a weekly soul-winning and visitation ministry to the local community. And, we support a Child Evangelism Fellowship missionary in our own county and have church members who volunteer in the CEF ministry. The goal is to faithfully share the gospel in different ways and places to reach more people.
Our church has several home grown missionaries that were members and now are serving the Lord in foreign and domestic areas. One is a missionary to Mexico, one is serving as a foreign missions director, another is serving in a local area reaching out to children and yet another is serving in the local outreach of another city.
Worldwide, we support 18 missionary families, from home missionaries to those serving in Mexico, Spain, Israel, India, Nepal, the Netherlands, and South Africa. Several of our missionaries travel on an extensive basis to train and support national pastors and fellow missionaries in churches all over the world. The emphasis of our foreign missionaries is to plant churches and to train national pastors, so that they may reach others in their own country with the Good News of salvation through faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
