Faith Chapel Independent Bible Church began in January 1963, when a group of believers met in the farm house of Walter and Anna Line. Some of the men of the group ministered the Word to the flock faithfully each week. In July 1963 Mr. Anthony Cunio accepted the call to become the first pastor. As the congregation grew, it was necessary to move to a larger facility. That move brought the congregation to the current location. Through the Lord's provision, the property was purchased. Prior to the purchase in 1965, the building was known as “The Holly House,” a dance hall. The inside of the building was painted black and had a bar area. The Lord had plans to change the Holly House into the Holy House. All this was removed and the building was renovated so that it became a building where God was honored. Many changes have been instituted over the past years, including an addition of a sanctuary, a parsonage, expanded and paved parking lot, renovation of the original building into classrooms and the purchase of several storage buildings.
Faith Chapel has always sought to maintain a missions program locally and around the world. Several men and women of Faith Chapel have gone into the mission field, including Mexico, Africa, the South Pacific, local outreach and Scripture translation into foreign languages. We also support numerous other missionaries including several with International Partnership Ministries that support foreign nationals within their own countries. Faith Chapel has been blessed over the past years, with good pastors, good parishioners, and with the outstanding guidance that only God can provide. |
