Pastor Michael Mayer was born into a Christian family. He grew up serving the Lord alongside his father who was the pastor of the Church of the Open Door in Lebanon, PA. He was saved at the age of five.
Cindy also grew up in a Christian home. She always loved going to church. She was saved at the age of seven.
They met at Bob Jones University on the first day of class in New Testament Survey. They were married in 1979. After graduation they served the Lord with Michael’s parents at the Church of the Open Door and Lebanon Christian Academy. They also served the Lord in Kent, WA at Galilee Baptist Church and Cascade Vista Baptist School. Michael was an Assistant Pastor and Cindy taught K5. For the last fourteen years, Michael has been the senior pastor at Faith Chapel in Carlisle, PA.
Michael and Cindy have three grown children and five grandchildren.
